Amonova M.M. is a Doctor of Technical Sciences (DSc) and an Associate Professor. In 2019, she successfully defended her PhD dissertation on the topic "Improvement of the treatment process of wastewater generated in dyeing and finishing enterprises" at the Scientific Council PhD.28.06.2018.K.72.01 at Bukhara State University, specializing in 02.00.01 – Inorganic Chemistry, and received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Sciences. On October 25, 2025, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation (DSc) on the topic "Obtaining composite sorbents modified with coagulant-flocculants based on sapropel and bentonite and development of technologies for their use in industrial wastewater treatment," obtaining the diploma confirming the scientific degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences.

Amonova M.M. has not only achieved positive results in the educational and methodological fields but is also working effectively in the field of scientific research. In particular, she has authored more than 80 scientific works, including 3 study guides, 1 monograph, 1 patent, 4 software programs, more than 30 articles in international scientific journals, more than 45 articles in journals included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission, and about 50 abstracts at international and national scientific-practical conferences.

Amonova Matluba Mukhtarovna is the winner of the III Republican contest "100 Best Innovative Projects of Women of Uzbekistan," organized to support the implementation of innovative projects by women in various areas of science and technology, their wide involvement in inventive and entrepreneurial activities, and to assist in the legal protection of intellectual property objects. By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 24, 2021, she was awarded the commemorative badge "30th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

Today, Amonova Matluba Mukhtarovna serves as the Rector of Bukhara Innovative Education and Medical University.
